New OxyMask Packaging

Friday, November 20th, 2009

We are pleased to announce that we recently developed new packaging for our OxyMask line of products.  This new packaging offers effective product protection and increased shipping efficiences to reduce shipping costs.

We have started phasing in the new packaging with OM-1125-8 OxyMask and OK-1125-8 OxyKid.  This new package consists of a white form insert that will protect the mask from crushing during transport and storage and the product will now be shrink-wrapped.

The trade marked Yellow Endotracheal Tube connector, traditionally packaged with the adult sized OxyMask and OxyPlus, will now be packaged separately for those customers that wish to order them.

Southmedic Inc is proud of our OxyMask line of products and we will continue to pursue ways to improve on our products so patients get the quality they deserve.

If you would like more information on this change to our OxyMask packaging, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Multi Purpose Mask – High Oxygen, High Humidity and Aerosol Therapy

Wednesday, November 11th, 2009

Southmedic Inc., Barrie, Ontario, Canada, is pleased to announce the launch of its newest oxygen delivery systems, the OxyMulti Mask and the OxyTrach Mask. These new multi purpose devices are hybrids of Southmedic’s renowned full range OxyMask and its OxyAerosol Mask. As the name implies, these simple masks can deliver a wide range of O2 Therapy from 24% to 80%, either through a standard small bore tubing, using the 15mm adapter provided or via a typical large bore corrugated tubing, attached to its universal 15mm swivel elbow. Like the OxyAerosol Mask, the universal elbow can also be connected to most Aerosol Nebulizers that can now deliver effective aerosol therapy and not compromise the O2 delivery.

The OxyMulti Mask and the OxyTrach Mask are simple, lightweight and able to  deliver the O2 range required, with or without high humidity or Aerosol Therapy. What more can you ask for from one mask?

Ideal for EMS, Acute Care and Long Term Care Facilities, the OxyMulti Mask and the OxyTrach one-mask systems can improve O2/Aerosol/Humidity delivery efficiencies and patient outcomes.
